When Arne Slot arrived at Anfield in the summer of 2024, there were questions. Could anyone follow Jurgen Klopp? The answer, as it turns out, is a resounding yes — but in a completely different way.

Slot's Liverpool are tactically precise, defensively disciplined, and devastatingly quick on the counter. The 4-2-3-1 system has given Ryan Gravenberch the platform to become one of Europe's best defensive midfielders, while Alexis Mac Allister continues to be the engine that keeps everything running.

Up front, the Alexander Isak signing has proved transformative. His link-up play with Mohamed Salah — who shows absolutely no signs of slowing down — has given Liverpool the most potent attacking partnership in the Premier League.

The 3-1 win over Arsenal was the statement result of the season. Dominant from start to finish, Liverpool never looked in trouble and could have scored more. Van Dijk was immense, Szoboszlai was brilliant, and Salah was, well, Salah.

With eight games remaining and a seven-point lead at the top, the title is almost certainly heading back to Anfield. The only question is how soon.
